From November 2013, after the Geneva agreement between Iran and group 5+1, positive signs of growth and restarting were seen in the Iran’s automotive industry.

It should be noted that, Iran automotive industry is the second most active industry of this country, after oil and gas industry, Accounting for 10% of Iran’s GDP.

Today Iran is one of the twenty largest automaker in the world and one of the largest in Asia. This industry directly employs about 500,000 people and many more in related industries.

In 2009, Iran produced more than 1.6 million cars, but in the last year decreased to 400,000.
